ANZSCO · Live database · AU + NZ

The right ANZSCO code is one in a thousand. Find yours in 60 seconds.

An ANZSCO code is the official name for your job in Australia and New Zealand's skilled-migration system — and you need the right one before you can apply. Every skilled occupation has one, from welders, electricians and chefs to nurses and software engineers.

Upload your CV — we compare it against every ANZSCO occupation description across all three editions (Australia v1.3, Australia 2022, and New Zealand) and return your top matches for each, ranked with confidence scores and plain-English explanations.

One CV · three code packs

Same person, different code, different doors.

Australia runs two editions of the occupation catalogue and New Zealand runs its own. Different visas read from different editions — a role off the list in one can be on the list in another. We check your CV against all three at once.

New Zealand is mid-change. From 3 November 2025, NZ began moving from ANZSCO to a new National Occupation List (NOL) for Job Check and most AEWV applications; the Skilled Migrant Category still uses ANZSCO for now. We flag this on every NZ result so you're never caught out by stale rules.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does it cost?
Your first CV analysis is free when you sign up with a personal or business email — no credit card to start. After that, 3 analyses are $9.99. Results are saved for 30 days, so re-running the same CV within that window doesn't use a credit.
What happens to my CV?
Your CV is stored privately on your account so you can re-open the result, re-analyse, or delete it later. We extract your duties and experience to compare against ANZSCO descriptions, we don't train models on your file and we don't share it. A share link is only created when you ask for one, and you can regenerate or delete it anytime.
Is this tool accurate?
In our acceptance tests, Brisbane (Beta) — our matching model — placed the correct code in the top 5 results for 100% of structured test profiles and around 80% of real-world CVs across trades, health, ICT, and social roles. Accuracy is higher for well-formatted CVs, the tool shows a readability score so you can see how much signal it had to work with. It's guidance; verify with a migration agent before lodging.
Can I use this to lodge a visa?
No, guidance only. For AU applications, verify your code against the Home Affairs Skilled Occupation List and lodge through ImmiAccount (or via a Registered Migration Agent). For NZ, check against the Green List or relevant sector agreement and use Immigration New Zealand's portal.
What if my occupation isn't in ANZSCO?
ANZSCO covers most skilled roles, but some niche or hybrid jobs don't map cleanly to a single code. If no strong match is found, we return the closest codes with low confidence scores, that's your signal to dig deeper with a migration agent, who can advise on alternative pathways or employer-sponsored options.
What's the difference between ANZSCO 2022 and v1.3?
ANZSCO 2022 is required for Subclass 482 and 186 (employer-sponsored). The points-tested stream, 189, 190, 491, 485, and 494, still uses v1.3. Most codes appear in both editions with the same number, but some were restructured. Cross-reference your result against the occupation list for your target visa on the Home Affairs website (AU) or Immigration NZ (NZ).
